Happy Vacation^^

yeah!!
it's almost the summer vacation!!!
grade 3 is moving to grade 4!!
good thing is Miss.bodley is still gonna be our teacher!
we'll be the amazing students in grade 4~~

Getting Ready

Today 3A will collect all the art work that they have made because it is near the end of 3rd grade. Next year in fourth grade 3A will have the same teacher and classroom, but 3A will have another teatcher called Missy Parsons. 3A and the other third grade will join together.

Last day of 3rd grade

On the last day of 3a, we will have chapel then have pancakes, and play games. Then we'll go to lunch. Here is a picture to remember 3a:

News article

Today we are writing our own news article. We are writing about what we did in 3A so far. It is really fun in 3A and to write our own news. We made our own titles mines called 3A'S DAILY NEWS. I wrote what we did in science including mealworms, mouldy food and lot's more. And it's almost the last day of school, then we go to 4th grade I think 4th grade is fun too.

May 21

It is Monday and we are writing out our Bible verse.
We just finished Battle Of The Books. Battle Of The Books is a fun thing our school does for 2 and a half weeks. in Battle Of The Books, we read as many books as we can, and every 4 books we get a prize. On Friday, we had a lock in, that is when we read for 45 minuts alone, or with a partner.

3B, the other third grade class came into our classroom, because their teatcher has to go home because her daghter is really sick.

Hello. We are doing Battle of the Books. We have to read books or make a poster. Every time you read four books you get a prize and a piece of paper to write your name and put in a lucky draw box.If you read twelve books you can get a pin thing that you stick on your shirt. I read two books.I read "Pedro's Journal" and "Mr. Poppers penguins". NowI am reading "Help! I'm prisoner in the library.

Yesterday we learned about a machine,the inclined plane.
The inclined plane is a flat surface with one end raised higher than the other,it is also called a ramp.Soon we will learn about 5 more,wedge,pulley wheel & axle,screw and lever.

Penang Hill Pictures

Penang Hill

On Wednesday, April 18th 2007, we went to Penang hill and saw so many beautiful birds. We were supposed to draw a bird. I drew a bird that was yellow and white. We could even pet it. I saw a fluffy bird full of hair, not feathers! There was two birds that were together, So Mrs. Sasse took a picture of them and one jumped up and clinged to the cage and hung upside down. The other one wanted Mrs. Sasse to take another picture. When we left the man at the store gave us some peacock feathers. Then we went down to the bottem of the hill and it took 25 minutes!! I had a good time there, but I don't want to go there again.

Penang Hill

2 days ago our class went to a hill called the penang hill. I first thought it was a mountain because it was very high. We were also over some clouds. We saw 2 giant spiders hanging on trees. We had lunch on an old play-ground but, going down was uncomfertable for me it was boring going down. We also saw monkeys and went to a bird park they were cool. We also saw giant wasps they were scary but it was still fun!GOOD BYE!!

Our field trip to Penang Hill

Yesterday we went to Penang Hill and saw two giant spiders.We saw the venicular railway in the van.Each train has four cars.Whan we are coming down, it didn't fell scared at all! This is the best field trip ever!

Iowa

Today is the third day of the Iowa tests! Yesterday was Keri's birthday!Keri is Chardin's small sister, she's two years old.She came in & gave us candies , we sang the happy birthday song to Keri.We had great time with her!

I Was Sick

I was sick on March 23rd Friday till March 27th Teusday. I was sick with a cold. I had to do lots of homework at home. I had to do Math at home, spelling, my report, my Bible Verse and reading. I missed out on a lot of things. I missed out on a spelling test. I hope that I will not get sick again. I don't want to miss out on a a lot of school work I then have to do lots of homework to go along with the group. I hope I will not get sick again!

Comets

I'm researching on comets for our report. Did you know comets form out of the Solar System in the Oort Cloud and Kuiper Belt. In 1994 comet Shoe-maker-Levy-7 crashed into Jupiter and sent up fireballs bigger than Earth. Comets have at lest three tails with different color gases. The most famous comet is Halley's comet.

Space

We've be learning about space object like comets, planets, Sun, asteroides and meteoroids.Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus are gas gaints.

Boy Scouts

Yesterday in Boy Scouts the Leader told us a story about a Boy Scout who got lost and got found.It took place in North Carolina, America.After we made an auction with Monopoly money.The best part is we can get lot`s of stuff for free.I got potatato chips,sprite, and root beer.Mark got twisties and tape.

About the 'chocolate touch'

'chocolate touch' is the book we'v read.
it's about the John Midas (the main charicter)who loves to eating a chocolate and candy .
One day, he ate some chcolate in the candy store for free,he didn't like anything to eat except
for a chocolate.but, after he ate the chocolate anything what John Midas ate everything tasted like chocolate.

The Chocolate Touch

We have started a new novel called the chocolate touch where John Midas (The main character) Loves Chocolate and gains the ability to make everything he touches turn into chocolate But soon gets sick of Chocolate and then his mother turns into chocolate statue. I think the book Chocolate Touch is a great book!

ANIMALS AT DALAT

Did you know there was adult praying mantises in Dalat at winter?(here at penang has no seasons,it is always summer the whole year long.)And there is Dollar and Jessie and Jetsy(they are dogs who DO have an owner.)They're cute.they run around campus,getting cuddles.

Dalat School

A week ago I learned the names of the planets.These are the names Mercury,Venus,Earth,Mars,Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus,Neptune and Pluto. It is a lot of fun in grade 3. My favourite subject is math.It is a lot of fun learning times tables.
